Who is this course for?
This course is designed for any person who is required to control traffic using a STOP/SLOW bat, Portable Traffic signals or other devices used to stop traffic.
In order to work as a Traffic Controller in NSW, it a requirement of the NSW RMS that you hold a current Traffic Controllers Photo Licence.

Pre-Requisites
To be eligible to attend the Traffic Controller course you MUST have:

Adequate Literacy; AND HOLD
-
White Card (A WHS GENERAL CONSTRUCTION INDUCTION TRAINING);
AND HOLD OR HAVE PREVIOUSLY HELD ONE OF THE TWO OPTIONS LISTED BELOW;

A NSW P2 Driver Licence or equivalent or higher; or
-
A NSW Traffic Controller Photo Card (expired within the last two years).

Outcome
Successful completion of this course will result in the participant being issued with the following Statement of Completion: Traffic Controller
If you do not hold the required General Induction Training White Card then you will be issued with a restricted (non-construction) card known as a Grey Card.
How long is the course and when and where is it held?
If you do not hold a White Card, then you will need to attend the 1 Day White Card Training (8.30am - 4pm) held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
You will then be required to attend the 1 Day Blue Card Training (8.30am - 4pm) held every Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday.
PLEASE NOTE, THAT YOU CAN SIT THE BLUE CARD BEFORE YOU SIT THE WHITE CARD! (however white card must be acheived within 14 days of sitting the blue card course)
The course is conveniently run at our customised training centre located in Bankstown.
Fees and Charges
If you already hold a White Card course then the cost of the Blue Card course is $100. If you DO NOT already hold a White Card then your combine fee if $170.
(For Blue Card, a $20 fee is payable at the end of your course which is a RMS licensing fee. For White Card, a $20 fee is payable at the end your course which is a WorkCover NSW licence processing fee.) These fees are charged by RMS and WorkCover NSW and NOT by Licences 4 Work and it is the cost of the photo licence application.)

Safety requirements for this course include:

Shirts with sleeves (preferably long sleeve)

Pants not skirts (preferably long pants)

Closed toe shoes (no Thongs or Sandals – preferably Steel Cap Shoes/Boots)

Hat on during the day – Sunscreen as appropriate
